The Armory
Fire a cannon and other historical weaponry!
The Remington New Model Army Revolver of 1858 was a key sidearm of the Civil War. Known for its solid-frame design, it was stronger and more reliable than the Colt revolvers of the time. Chambered in .44 caliber, it allowed soldiers to quickly swap out pre-loaded cylinders, making reloading faster.
The Pattern 1853 Enfield was a .577-caliber, muzzle-loading rifle used by the British Army and widely imported during the American Civil War. With its accurate rifled barrel and reliable design, it became the second most common infantry weapon of the war, after the Springfield. Many were later converted to breech-loaders, extending their service long after the 1860s.
The “Brown Bess” musket was the standard British infantry weapon during the American Revolution. A smoothbore, .75-caliber flintlock musket, it wasn’t known for pinpoint accuracy, but it was rugged, fast to load, and deadly in massed volleys. British regulars carried it across Europe, North America, and beyond, making it one of the most famous military firearms of the 18th century.
The Model 1841 Mountain Howitzer was a short-barreled, 12-pounder cannon designed for use in rough or mountainous terrain. Unlike larger field artillery, it was light enough to be disassembled and transported by pack animals, which made it highly mobile.
Introduced in the 1840s, it saw extensive service in the Mexican–American War, on the western frontier, and during the American Civil War. It fired explosive shells, spherical case shot, or canister at relatively short ranges — making it well suited for close support and engagements where heavier guns could not be deployed.
