Pageant of the Masters
Our children gave us Pageant of the Masters tickets, and we took advantage of them last night, joining a throng of un-masked people in Laguna Beach, celebrating the show’s theme, “Made in America.”
Although I’ve heard people talking about this production all my life, I imagined it differently. I thought the tableaux vivants (living art) would be composed in some sort of walk-through concourse. No, it’s a grand stage show with orchestra, stage lighting, drama, narration and living art blocked out on the canyons around the stage, (complete with 18th century fife and drum, just my kinda show.)
Truly stunning. Unapologetic in its patriotism. Just what the doctor ordered.
