This Saturday, we’re featuring some more unique apples from the past available either u-pick or in our store. They include: Red Delicious, Braeburn, Red Astrachan, Spitzenberg, Snow, Grimes Golden, Baldwin, Golden Russet, Ozark Gold. This is a big crop and we’re picking weekdays too, so don’t miss it! Remember, always check in at the stores or the pop-up tents for instructions before picking. Fruit ripens over 2-3 months and if you don’t get the right trees, you could go home with some starchy apples. Details and crop report.
We have some light rain predicted so bring your gear. It should make for a nice New England Saturday in California. Special treat: one of our favorite Irish & Rockabilly bands, Craic Haus, will be playing at the 1880s Packing Shed on Saturday, and Stone Pantry will be featured at the Hawk’s Head Tavern & Bakery.
This Saturday you can also expect: hay rides, cider pressing, pumpkin picking, lots of flowers, great walking trails (you can easily walk 3 miles on a Fall harvest day), archery, tomahawk throwing, candle making, corn husk doll making, and blacksmithing. Is that a Saturday or what?
