The Winds Of Change Have Never Smelled So Good

Published by

As we come into the month of February, love is in the air. Valentine’s Day is a time honored tradition we do up here at Riley’s Farm. But this year, the tradition is changing! We strive to listen and consider the suggestions of our guests about all that we offer. The one that struck with me most was about Valentine’s Day. There are many people that want to make Valentine’s a special night between them ad their significant other, and rightly so. Our previous model for Valentine’s Day was not conducive to this end. Not anymore. We have given our Valentine’s Day Dinner a complete face lift! From the menu, to the activities, to the seating, it’s new and improved!

I’m not sure about you, but when I think Valentine’s Day, I think of roses, chocolate, and red wine. So those are now included in the package! And what pairs better with a excellent glass of wine than fine Italian food. We revisited our menu and now offer a 5 course Italian dinner with your choice of entree, a first here at Riley’s Farm. We are always looking for new ways to up our game, and one of our standard structures is to have a fixed menu. We decided to push ourselves out of our comfort zone and offer choices for your meal at this dinner. For those of you who like beef, I’m going to recommend you try our Baked Ziti. For our chicken lovers, our Chicken Marsala (based off of Mrs. Riley’s recipe) is to die for. And for our vegetarians, look no further than our handmade 4 cheese and spinach ravioli! I can not wait for everyone to try this new event and menu! Now, some of you might be worried about the carbs, but have no fear, for there will be dancing. Don’t know how? NO EXCUSE! We will be offering, not one, but TWO dance lessons. We will teach you how to Waltz (I have two left feet, and even I could learn the Waltz) and how to Swing. Even better, you’ll be dancing to the live music of The Harmony Sisters. I guarantee, you and your sweetheart will have a memorable, romantic evening!

**In the process of working on this blog (3-4 days), we are down to 3 tickets left for Valentine’s Day. One of my good friends and co-worker, Eric Drazin, has always said that trying something new here on the Farm is nerve racking. I always laughed, shrugging it off as him simply being a worrier. Eric, I formally apologize to you here and now. Updating Valentine’s was one of the most stressful things I have ever done; not only because of the planning, but because we are trying several “firsts” on the farm. It’s also extremely exciting though. We’re all pumped to give all of you a memorable Valentine’s.
