Living History Dinner Shows by Reservation

The Hawk’s Head is a charming full-service restaurant modeled after a traditional 18th century tavern.  The picturesque grounds and mouth-watering comfort cuisine are sure to make your trip to Oak Glen memorable.  We serve hearty portions that will please the whole family for breakfast, lunch, or an early candle-lit dinner. Servers are dressed in colonial attire, and greet you with smile and a bow or curtsey.

The tavern keeper is pleased to offer an array of fine wines, ales, and hard ciders to sate your thirst, and during special dinner events we feature live 18th century music. Whether you visit for a birthday party, anniversary celebration, business luncheon, or a hearty meal with family, the Hawk’s Head will serve you delicious fare, a pewter tankard full of your favorite drink, and delectable desserts. We will even design a private dinner event after-hours just for you.  We’ll keep one of our famous five-pound apple pies warm for you!

Why it pays to order ahead…  Believe it or not, it takes a lot of work to make an honest apple pie.  We only make as many as we think we’re going to sell, and if you arrive too late, we might not have any!     You know you’ll be visiting Oak Glen soon.   Why not put your name on a pie ahead of time?

Bakery orders must be placed at least one day prior to your pickup date.  Remember to check the current COLONIAL CHESTERFIELD BAKERY hours before selecting a pick-up date & time (and note that we are always closed on Sundays).  Pick up your order at the bakery in Colonial Chesterfield (pictured below) unless you are attending a field trip at the Packing Shed location.
