Sleepy Hollow

Washington Irving’s timeless story of harvest, romance, and good-natured fun lives on at Riley’s Farm with apple-bobbing, pie-eating contests, dancing, country music, and great food!

Enjoy meeting the fair citizens of Tarrytown, such as the fair and lovely daughter of the richest farmer in town, Baltus Van Tassel. Mingle around with the burly, country blade, Brom Bones. And even expect a formal welcome from the schoolmaster of Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod Crane. But beware of the gloomy woods surounding, for there are tales of a a ghostly headless horseman that frequents the graveyard nearby…

Join us this October for Riley’s biggest event of the year!

When you arrive, enjoy our homemade appetizer soup of corn chowder or pumpkin. Hop on the hayride and take a trip in the countryside with several of the Sleepy Hollow townsfolk. You may meet the wealthy farmer, Baltus Van Tassel, and maybe even his lovely daughter, Katrina. Enjoy the company of the country blade, Brom Bones, and perhaps make the acquaintance of the local school master, Ichabod Crane. Watch the characters come alive on stage, in a play that is broken up into three acts. And through the whole evening participate in a variety of country contests. But be for warned, there is rumor of a Headless Horseman on the prowl, and it is said he will ride passed the house by night.
