Jekyll and Hyde

London. 1886.

While taking a night jaunt in town, two gentlemen, Gabriel John Utterson and his cousin Richard Enfield, take notice of a lone door at a rather substantial, sequestered house. Upon sight, Enfield recounts to his cousin a strange happening that he chanced to see several weeks prior. A poor young girl playing on the walkway had the misfortune of crossing paths with a rather deformed looking creature that was charging up the street. Upon meeting, the vial man had no reservation of pushing past the dear girl, and in the chaos trampled her down. Utterson, appalled by the narrative, takes up an investigation to learn the identity of such a beast. All roads and clues finally lead him to an abrupt meeting with a grotesque gentleman by the name of Mr. Hyde.

Riley’s Farm Theatre Company is proud to bring to stage Robert Luis Stevenson’s 1886 masterpiece, ‘The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.’ As it is tradition on the farm, RFTC presents this timeless narrative in an original light. Enjoy a fine feast and an exquisite tale dramatized in our 1880’s Packing Shed.
